Get ready to satisfy your sweet tooth at The Cake Bar, Denver’s most anticipated and innovative first Black-owned vegan bakery. The spot celebrates its grand opening on August 12 at 11am. Led by owner Angela Wells, The Cake Bar is set to become the go-to destination for cake enthusiasts and lovers of all things delicious.
The Cake Bar: Community and Inclusivity
The Cake Bar proudly embraces its identity as a vegan-owned, Black-owned, woman-owned, and LGBTQIA+ owned establishment. This vibrant bakery is more than just a place to grab a slice of cake. It’s a hub for community and inclusivity.
“We are thrilled to invite you to experience The Cake Bar, where we believe that everyone should get to enjoy life’s sweetest moments together,” Wells shared. “Our goal is to create a space that breaks down barriers and brings people together. Get ready for a fun-filled environment where you can indulge in treats and celebrate life.”
A Grand Opening Extravaganza
So, what can you expect at the grand opening of The Cake Bar? “Consider us to be the Cold Stone Creamery of cake, no one has ever done cake like we’re about to do,” said Wells. Since The Cake Bar is a take-out bakery, the grand opening celebration will take place at City O’ City. Customers will be able to order at The Cake Bar and enjoy their desserts a few steps down (until 1pm) at City O’ City, complete with a DJ and bar. The grand opening event will boast cake challenges, special guest appearances, surprises, and more.
The Cake Bar will be located in the heart of Denver at 214 E 13th Ave, Denver, CO 80203. For more information about The Cake Bar and updates on the grand opening event, visit their website at TheCakeBarDenver.com or follow them on Instagram @TheCakeBarDenver.
