Dear Bella Creamery

The vegan ice cream shop will open the doors to its first Orange County location this Sunday.

Your Google search of “vegan options in Orange County” is about to get an upgrade! Vegan scoop shop Dear Bella Creamery is opening at The Lab in Costa Mesa this weekend.

Dear Bella Creamery Costa Mesa Celebrates Grand Opening

Dear Bella Creamery is celebrating the opening of its second location with a massive grand opening party this Sunday. The new shop has found its home at The Lab in Costa Mesa at 2930 Bristol St, Costa Mesa, CA 92626. The Lab is a popular outdoor “anti-mall” that is already home to several other vegan and vegan-friendly restaurants.

From 12-10pm at the new location, Dear Bella will be hosting a plant-based party. There will be prizes and giveaways all day long, as well as several other secret surprises. The first 100 guests to attend the party will receive a free scoop of ice cream!

This opening marks the first step in a plan to expand into even more locations throughout Southern California.

Vegan Ice Cream Made with Clean Ingredients

Dear Bella Creamery was founded by longtime vegans and best friends, Alice Cherng and Belinda Wei. They opened their first location in Hollywood back in 2017, offering fully vegan ice cream scoops, soft serve, as well as ice cream cakes and sandwiches.

Dear Bella quickly developed a loyal following and now offers a rotating selection of 16 unique ice cream flavors. Signature flavor offerings include Rocky Road, Peanut Butter Cup, and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Additionally, the brand offers AAPI-inspired flavors in honor of both Cherng and Wei’s Taiwanese American heritage. Past options have included Mango Sticky Rice and Sweet Red Bean, while the most popular current offering is Taiwanese Pineapple Cake.

All of Dear Bella’s ice cream is made from scratch in small batches using natural ingredients. No artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives are used at all.

In addition to the two storefronts, Dear Bella started offering nationwide shipping earlier this year. Customers can choose from pints of select ice cream flavors, ice cream cakes, or ice cream pies.
