Cracker Barrel adds its first plant-based meat option to the menu!

Cracker Barrel adds its first plant-based meat item to the menu! The Midwest chain staple expands its breakfast menu to offer Impossible Sausage, the restaurant’s first vegan sausage option. Known for its home-quality foods, Cracker Barrel will now provide country-style prepared dishes to those looking for a plant-based option!

Cracker Barrel Introduces Impossible Sausage to Its Menu

Plant-based eaters will now have a seat at the interstate eatery's table! Why? Because Cracker Barrel announces the addition of Impossible Sausage to its all-day breakfast menu. The vegan favorite will now be available as an option to customize your breakfast plate. As veganism grows, Cracker Barrel begins to serve those seeking more plant-based options. “Our all-day, homestyle breakfast menu is a staple that draws enthusiasm from guests of all ages. So we are always exploring opportunities to improve how our guests experience breakfast,” said Sarah Breymaier, Director of Menu Strategy at Cracker Barrel.

Vegan Options at Cracker Barrel

While Cracker Barrel is known for its all-you-can-eat biscuits and country-fried steak, they recognize the demand for a more inclusive menu. Some current plant-based choices include a baked potato (sweet or plain), coarse-ground grits, and multi-grain and sourdough toast with any fruit spreads. In addition to Impossible Sausage, we are excited to see what other vegan options are to come. “Our new breakfast menu innovations provide a personalized experience with delicious breakfast choices to satisfy every taste bud. At morning, noon, or night, we want guests to enjoy craveable breakfast favorites at a compelling value,” shared Breymaier.

So, visit Cracker Barrel’s website to find your nearest location to enjoy the new menu item!

Please note that while Cracker Barrel advises its employees to prepare proteins separately, cross-contamination may occur.
