Earlier this month Columbus donut shop, Destination Donuts, announced its plans to move toward a primarily vegan assortment each day. Met with an outpouring of support, this vegan-friendly eatery is now at the top of our list of must-try eateries to check out in Columbus, Ohio. We hope to see you there!
Destination Donuts Announces Primarily Vegan Menu
Why the change? Based on fan feedback, Destination Donuts decided to expand its already delicious lineup of vegan treats to the majority of the menu! The Columbus donut shop will now offer fully vegan donut dough moving forward with a variety of cruelty-free flavors and toppings. That means plant-based Cinnamon Sugar Twists, Dueling Vanilla Donuts, Orange & Spice Nibblers, and Maple Pecan Cinnamon Rolls for everyone! DD will continue to offer an assortment of non-vegan varieties, but these options will be easily distinguishable and displayed on black trays.
Destination Donuts took to social media earlier this month to spread the word by sharing, “We have listened to your feedback and will be moving toward a primarily vegan assortment every day!” The donut shop added, “We are so excited about this change and look forward to serving you. And for those that are concerned about the product quality or taste, you’ll never know the difference.” The Ohio-based shop went on to elude that the team had already been transitioning many of their recipes to vegan versions leading up to the decision. The announcement was met with unmatched support and the donut shop sold out the first weekend following the switch.

Owned by donut mastermind Heather Morris, Destination Donuts has been in business since 2012. Since then, the Ohio-based shop has aimed to bring unique, artisanal, and handcrafted donuts to the Columbus community. And now this includes a primarily vegan selection!
