A vegan chocolate ice cream base is joining the permanent menu at participating locations nationwide!
2022 is off to a great start for the vegan community! Veganuary is in full swing, which means more people are trying out plant-based diets, and businesses are rolling out vegan options left and right. What’s one of the newest rollouts we’re excited about? Cold Stone Creamery just launched its first-ever vegan ice cream flavor at participating scoop shops nationwide.
Cold Stone Creamery Allows Guests to Create Their Own Ice Cream Flavor
Cold Stone Creamery is a dairy-based ice cream chain known for its endlessly customizable menu. Customers get to choose an ice cream base and mix-ins that are then folded together on a frozen granite stone. Instead of a classic ice cream scoop with a few toppings, Cold Stone Creamery allows guests to create their own ice cream flavor with fully incorporated ingredients.
Don’t Cry Over Spilled Silk featuring Silk’s Chocolate Almondmilk Frozen Dessert
Due to the increasing demand for plant-based options, Cold Stone Creamery sought a way to cater to customers looking for dairy-free treats. Their solution? To add Silk’s Chocolate Almondmilk Frozen Dessert to the permanent menu. This means customers can build their own frozen creation using the vegan chocolate ice cream with as many mix-ins as they want. Not only that, but Cold Stone Creamery curated a limited-edition vegan menu item to celebrate the launch—Don’t Cry Over Spilled Silk featuring Silk’s Chocolate Almondmilk Frozen Dessert, banana, peanut butter, and roasted almonds.
“We’re absolutely delighted that Cold Stone Creamery chose to partner with Danone North America and the Silk brand to bring the ice cream parlor’s first-ever plant-based frozen dessert to Cold Stone customers. Cold Stone’s creativity and leadership in frozen desserts paired with our expertise in plant-based dairy alternatives and strong track record of delivering great taste and texture, is a powerful combination for bringing a delicious, plant-based dessert collaboration to frozen treat lovers across the country,” shared Derek Neeley, Vice President of Silk.
