Los Angeles pop-up Cena Vegan, known for serving plant-based Mexican food, has rebranded its plant-based meat products to be sold under the name Plant Ranch.
Since its beginnings in 2016, Cena has worked to position itself as the premier manufacturer of authentically-flavored Mexican plant-based meats, using generations-old family recipes and unique cooking processes. With the new branding, the company hopes to expand the potential of its product, offering it to restaurants and reaching even more looking for plant-based alternatives to meat.
“We can’t wait to have Plant Ranch in more restaurants and homes,” said Plant Ranch founding partner Carmen Santillan. “Our cart has given us a chance to share our passion with hundreds of thousands of people in a localized region. I’m excited for more people to find us."
The Cena Vegan cart will continue serving the streets of Los Angeles its popular street tacos, burritos, nacho boats, etc., and is currently in the first round of fundraising, intending to expand sales and distribution to restaurants and supermarkets across the country.
“Plant Ranch is a big step towards the original dream of offering plant-based meats with uncompromising, bold flavors nationwide,” said Plant Ranch founding partner Gary Huerta. “It’s time to show everyone how easy it is to live a plant-forward life without sacrificing the flavors you grew up with at home. The new brand is confident, fun and inviting – and isn’t that how food ought to be?”
To celebrate the rebranding, one customer per week will have the opportunity to win 10 packs of Plant Ranch by following them on Instagram at @plantranchfoods. For full details on the contest and to purchase Plant Ranch meats, visit plantranchfoods.com.
