De Buena Planta’s New Silver Lake Location
De Buena Planta first debuted across the street from The Butcher’s Daughter in Venice in the fall of 2020. It launched as an outdoor pop-up in a parking lot transformed into a beachy oasis inspired by bars in Todos Santos and Sayulita. De Buena Planta was an immediate hit among vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores alike, leading the restaurant team to expand to Silver Lake.
The new De Buena Planta location in Silver Lake is a 5,000 square foot garden with greenery and aesthetic decor throughout. This is a permanent location, and the Venice pop-up will continue to operate until otherwise noted.

100% Vegetarian and Gluten-Free Menu with Vegan Options
Like the pop-up in Venice, De Buena Planta’s menu in Silver Lake is 100% vegetarian and gluten-free with plenty of vegan options. In addition to the vegetarian Mexican street food bites De Buena Planta is known for, its new Silver Lake location features a much larger menu. Some of the new veganizable dishes include Sopita de Albondigas, the Oaxacan Bowl, and Enchiladas Pipian, among others. To drink, there are tequila and mezcal-based cocktails that will rock your world—as well as natural wines from Valle de Guadalupe.

Mexican Cocktail Bar La Casita
Something unique about De Buena Planta’s Silver Lake location is that it’s connected to Mexican cocktail bar La Casita. With a vast beverage menu of hand-shaken cocktails, small-batch mezcals, and tequilas curated by bar director Lee Zaremba, La Casita is the perfect pit stop for a pre-game or nightcap beverage.
