Ope! We’ve got some plant-based dessert news you won’t want to miss.

With four locations in the Mitten State, Browndog Creamery has been whipping up Michigan-inspired ice cream since 2015. The Midwest brand even partnered with Detroit soft drink company, Faygo, to create six ice cream flavor varieties. The new flavors include the creamery’s most recent launch, Firework, a vegan-friendly sorbet infused with Faygo’s Firework soda and fresh strawberries. Welp, you know we’re going to have to get our hands on this new tasty flavor ASAP!

Browndog Creamery Adds New Michigan-Inspired Vegan Ice Cream Flavor

It’s time to grab a spoon! Browndog Creamery’s new vegan offering is loaded with the iconic flavors of cherry, lime, and blue raspberry from Faygo’s Firework pop—yes, we call it “pop” around here. Known for adding its own twist, Browndog Creamery also incorporated fresh strawberries into the frozen treat for an extra kick of flavor. The artisan flavor combinations of this scratch-made sorbet have us totally drooling. Want in? Michiganders can get in on the tasty treat in a variety of ways. Plan a visit to one of the creamery’s many barlors—a mix of bar and parlor—for a delicious and refreshing scoop. Or, if you’re not in one of Browndog’s neighborhoods, the brand has the hookup on nationwide shipping. So, here’s your chance to order pints of vegan Faygo Firework sorbet straight to your door!

Supporting Animal Rescues One Pint at a Time

Specializing in small-batch, artisan ice cream, Browndog Creamery was started in 2015 and is owned and operated by Brian Scherle and Paul Gabriel. The micro-company got its name from the duo’s late rescue Boston Terrier, Flash. But what’s in a name? For Brian and Paul, the answer is deeper than you may think. The company created the Pints for Progress initiative, which donates a portion of all ice cream sales to local animal rescues. So, whether you’re sitting down at the Browndog Barlor & Restaurant, purchasing ice cream in-store, or ordering pints online, part of your purchase is going to an inspiring, animal-loving cause.

Browndog Creamery locations include Northville, Farmington, Lansing, and Oak Park. You can also find pints at select Michigan businesses, including Michigan Coffee & Creamery in Beverly Hills, Michigan and Gilly’s Ice Cream in Troy. And again, if you are not a local, don’t miss out on that nationwide shipping! For more from Browndog Creamery, check out their website at BrowndogCreamery.com and follow them on Instagram.
