The major grocery brand now offers affordable plant-based milk and meat alternatives.
If you don’t have the time or money to shop at farmers markets or locally owned grocery stores, you can now get plant-based groceries in a quick, affordable way. How? The grocery store and delivery service Amazon Fresh debuted a plant-based product line this week!
Making Vegan Food Accessible
This past Monday, Amazon announced its Fresh Plant-Based Product line, featuring 15 vegan meat and dairy alternatives at affordable prices. All of the products are also SNAP EBT eligible, which is a huge step for making vegan food accessible to all communities.
Amazon’s New Fresh Plant-Based Product Line
Amazon Fresh’s plant-based milk portfolio includes Original, Original Unsweetened, Vanilla, Vanilla Sweetened, and Chocolate Almondmilk varieties—all of which are available in 64oz cartons at under $3 each. With 50% more calcium than cow’s milk per serving, this plant-based milk is the real deal.
The meat alternatives in Amazon’s new Fresh Plant-Based Product line range from vegan meatballs, ground beef, and sausages to burger patties, chicken patties, and chicken nuggets. Using bases like wheat, soy, and pea, these products are packed with protein (the Plant-Based Patties have 21g per serving). The current prices of Amazon’s meat alternatives range from $3.39 to $8.29. To make things even better, Amazon is offering 20% off all of their Fresh brand plant-based meat products during the month of March in stores and online.
The Grocery Brand Has Announced Plans to Expand Its Vegan Offerings
Amazon’s Fresh Plant-Based products can be purchased at Amazon Fresh store locations and online in select areas. With rave reviews already coming in, the grocery brand has announced plans to expand its vegan offerings in the near future. “To guarantee quality, every product is rigorously taste-tested to exceed our customers’ expectations. We will continue to expand the Fresh Plant-Based product line this year to bring customers more healthy, affordable plant-based products,” shared the Amazon Fresh team.
