If you think vegan Christmas dinner is best enjoyed when it’s made by a chef at a restaurant, we totally get it! Holiday cooking can be quite stressful, which is why we’ve created this guide. Here’s where to eat vegan on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in Los Angeles!

The Grain Cafe

There’s nothing like enjoying a stack of vegan pancakes after opening Christmas presents. If you don’t want to break a sweat in the kitchen on the joyous holiday, hit up The Grain Cafe. All locations will be open on Christmas Eve from 6am-6pm and Christmas Day from 9am-5pm.

Donna Jean

Sherman Oaks

Share the magic of Donna Jean with your family this season! The fan-favorite vegan eatery will be open for brunch on Christmas Eve from 11am-4pm. Donna Jean also offers holiday catering trays for pickup on December 23 and 24. Options include Wellingtons, lasagna, mac & cheese, seasonal vegetables, and a slew of desserts!

Shojin

Culver City & Downtown LA

From 3-9pm on Christmas Eve and 1-9pm on Christmas Day, customers can try Shojin’s Holiday Special Tasting Menu with 10 dishes at just $78 per person. Want to stay in? Place a pickup order of Shojin’s Christmas Platter which includes eight different items. Both the dine-in and takeout menus feature a Christmas Ribeye “Steak” with barbecue sauce and cranberry relish as the main dish. Vegan Christmas dinner is served!

Follow Your Heart Café

Canoga Park

Follow Your Heart Café continues its tradition of offering vegan holiday meals! On December 23 and 24, you can enjoy a special Four-Course Christmas Dinner. Fill up on Pear & Parsnip Soup, Arugula Salad, Cheese & Chili Tamal, and a Holiday Wellington slice. In addition, the vegan cafe offers a take-home version of the Christmas dinner.

Want to enjoy a fancy holiday meal that you don’t have to cook? Head to PLANTA for mouthwatering Asian-Latin fusion dishes. Both PLANTA locations in LA will be open for regular business hours on Christmas Eve but closed on Christmas Day.

Stray from traditional American holiday dishes this Christmas and enjoy a meal at Rahel Ethiopian Vegan Cuisine. The fan-favorite vegan Ethiopian restaurant is open on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day from 11am-10pm.

Wondering where to eat in Los Angeles Christmas Eve? This newly reopened vegan Japanese restaurant is open on Christmas Eve for normal business hours. Stop by to support this local plant-based spot and enjoy an array of sushi rolls, appetizers, and other delicious bites.

Stop by Cafe Gratitude for a nourishing Christmas Eve breakfast or lunch before your festivities begin! Enjoy a smoothie, tofu scramble, French toast, kelp noodles, Caesar salad, or whatever other dish you’re in the mood for! In addition to its dine-in menu, Cafe Gratitude is offering holiday pies and sides for pickup. Both Larchmont and Venice locations are open on Christmas Eve until 4pm (Newport Beach is closed).

All we want for Christmas is vegan margaritas and nachos! If you agree, make your way to Gracias Madre to enjoy some vegan Mexican food and drinks. The West Hollywood location is open until 4pm on Christmas Eve (the Newport Beach restaurant is closed). You can also pre-order vegan tamales from Gracias Madre for pickup.
