Daiya’s Newly Reformulated Cheese Blocks Made with Oats and Chickpeas

Daiya’s new and improved recipe for their fan favorite cheese blocks comes just in time for National Cheese Lover’s Day. These dairy-free blocks are now made with oats and chickpeas for a delicious taste and texture that rivals dairy cheese.

Their blocks are currently available in Medium Cheddar, Monterey Jack, Smoked Gouda, Jalapeno Havarti, and a new soon-to-be fan favorite—Classic Mozza flavor. Daiya’s plant-based blocks are as versatile as you want them to be. You can cube them to add to a charcuterie board, slice them for a delicious grilled cheese sandwich, or shred them for use as a topping on tacos, pizzas, pastas, or salads. The blocks can be found at most major grocery stores across the US, including Sprouts, Natural Grocers, and Wegmans.

Recipes for You to Try This National Cheese Lover’s Day

If you’re looking for some vegan recipe inspiration, check out Daiya’s blog for hundreds of recipes that can be filtered by type of dish, dietary needs, allergens, and Daiya products. Daiya Blocks are best when enjoyed cold, so this Vegan Tomato Caprese recipe is the perfect way to enjoy their crave-worthy Monterey Jack flavor. Grab a few tomatoes, olive oil, balsamic, and some fresh basil for a light and refreshing snack that satisfies.

What better way to enjoy your favorite cheese than in a classic Veggie Sandwich? Slice up your preferred Daiya Block in thick slices, or mix-and-match a few different flavors for variety. Add hummus and veggies on slices of your favorite bread, and you’ve got a quick and tasty twist on a classic lunch.

If you’re in the mood for something heartier, check out Daiya’s recipe for the Fiesta Juicy Lucy—a jalapeno- and cheese-stuffed burger patty with all of the fixings. Although this recipe calls for the Monterey Jack Style Block, switch it out with any flavor to give the burger a fresh take.

Recently, the brand reformulated the recipe for their Plant-Based Cream Cheeze, making it smoother and more spreadable—something consumers had been calling for. In addition to the new recipe, an exciting new flavor is also available to unite garlic lovers everywhere: Roasted Garlic & Herbs Cream Cheeze.

The brand also just debuted a new look for their Mac & Cheeze, and two new flavors of their plant-based Shreds are now available as well: Parmesan and Mexican 4 Cheeze Style Blend.
