Little Barn Coffee House will be your go-to vegan breakfast spot!
Little Barn Coffee House is an LA favorite for Latine flavored cold brew, buttery biscuits, and savory breakfast burritos. You can try their incredible dishes Tuesday-Friday 9am-3pm and 8am-3pm on Saturday and Sunday. They’re located at 3329 Division St, Los Angeles, CA 90065. This Latina- and LGBTQ-owned coffee shop will satisfy all your pastry needs!
From Bandmates to Co-Owners
Bandmates, co-owners, and chefs Joana Rubio and Seleste Diaz opened up Little Barn Coffee House amid the pandemic. Since then, they have become a beloved brunch spot in Glassell Park. Opening up an entirely plant-based cafe came into fruition when Rubio and Diaz faced little to no vegan options while touring on the road. When the opportunity presented itself to take over a vacant cafe space, this couple jumped in head first. “Being Latina and queer and owning our coffee shop to us means that dreams can become a reality when you put in the right amount of desire, passion, and action. Anything is possible. You just have to go for it despite all odds.” Diaz shared.
Serving up Brunch Con Sabor
This cafe’s menu is packed with Latine staples! Tamales, quinoa, chile serrano, and pico de gallo are just a few of the ingredients that transform into brunch favorites. “Most of the menu items are foods that we missed having, so we veganized them and added our own Latino sazón to it,” Diaz told VegOut. They also offer a rich variety of breakfast must-tries, including house-made croissants, a vegan bacon avocado omelet, and a breakfast burrito stuffed with sauteed black beans and scrambled tofu. Though, the crowd favorite is their Maple Fennel Sausage Biscuit. The cafe prepares the succulent breakfast sandwich with marinated tofu and house-made cheese in between two buttery biscuits. The flavor doesn’t stop there—don’t forget to indulge in their refreshing cold brews and lattes! Little Barn’s oat horchata cold brew, hazelnut latte, or perfectly spiced chai will make a nice accompaniment to your dish.
