The froyo shop will soon offer Oatly vegan soft serve at all 31 locations nationwide!
This month, 16 Handles—a frozen yogurt chain known for their creamy soft serve and tasty treat toppings—will partner with plant-based brand Oatly to launch new flavors of Oatly soft serve at all 31 locations nationwide. The first new flavors to make their debut will be Iced Latte and Vanilla on June 8, followed by Chai Tea and Chocolate on July 6. All flavors are vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free.
Expanding Non-Dairy Soft Serve Offerings
“We’ve been expanding our non-dairy offerings for years, and so when the 16 Handles culinary team had the chance to work with our favorite oat milk brand, we jumped at the chance. There’s a lot that 16 Handles and Oatly share—commitments to quality, flavor innovation, sustainability … it’s really an ideal collaboration,” CEO Solomon Choi told VegOut. Choi adds, “There’s no doubt that Oatly has been experiencing huge success globally, and in particular, the US market, which is why we are so excited to be able to bring one of their hardest-to-find product lines—Oatly soft serve—to our stores, just in time for summer. All four flavors are delicious, and I especially love the new Iced Latte soft serve our culinary teams worked on exclusively for this partnership.”
Additional Vegan-Friendly Offerings at 16 Handles
16 Handles launched their first soy milk flavor in 2013, and also offers almond milk, cashew milk, and oat milk-based soft serve options. In addition, vegan-friendly offerings at 16 Handles include vegan sorbets and vegan toppings like dairy-free Belgian chocolate chips.
Vegan Ice Cream Social at 16 Handles
In partnership with 16 Handles, vegan group Capital Region Vegan Network (CRVN) will host an ice cream social on June 11 at the East Greenbush, NY location. Those who attend the event will have the opportunity to sample the new Oatly vegan soft serve flavors and will also receive discounts and coupons.
