Creme Fresh is serving up scoops, cones, and shakes!
In a town filled with not many vegan options, Creme Fresh is a welcome addition. The non-dairy ice cream shop just opened in Roanoke, Virginia last month.
Vegan Options in Roanoke, Virginia
Creme Fresh opened its doors on August 27 to a long line and a warm welcome. Started by the owners of two local businesses—Quincy Randolph of RND Coffee and Nate Sloan of Bloom—Creme Fresh has quickly established itself as a local favorite on Main Street. And, after selling out their first weekend, it looks like the shop is here to stay, which is great news for those looking for vegan options in Roanoke.
The shop is filled with art and graffiti from local artists inspired by 90’s hip hop culture and is a welcome space for everyone. The space is small and quaint, with a colorful door leading out to Main Street, where customers can enjoy a cone and browse the local shops.
Dairy-Free Ice Cream Shop
All of the ice cream and sorbet that Creme Fresh serves up is dairy-free, egg-free, and gelatin-free, so the options are endless for vegans and non-vegans alike. The dairy-free ice cream shop offers a rotating variety of ice creams and sorbets, such as corn caramel, dark chocolate coffee, and lemon lavender. The ice cream is made with oat and coconut, which makes for a deliciously creamy finish. Some of their bestsellers are the peanut butter banana chip ice cream and the blackberry brandy sorbet.
One scoop at Creme Fresh will run you $4.50, and a double scoop costs $6.50. The shop offers all of the classic toppings like sprinkles and crushed Oreos, and you can get your creation in a bowl or in one of their house-made waffle cones (bonus: they also carry a gluten-free cone!). Milkshakes are also available for any of the ice cream flavors. The shop offers a loyalty program, and every tenth visit will earn you a free treat.
Creme Fresh is located at 1116 Main Street SW, Roanoke, VA 24015 and is open Wednesday through Sunday from 1-8pm (9pm on Friday and Saturday). Check out Creme Fresh on Instagram at @cremefreshrke to keep up with their latest updates and flavor announcements!
