The popular fast food chain has added a vegan hot dog to its online retail shop, just in time for grilling season!

Nathan’s Famous, a Coney Island tradition that’s been slinging hot dogs to beach-goers and locals alike for over 100 years, recently released a vegan hot dog in partnership with the company Meatless Farm. The plant-based dog features Nathan’s very own spice blend and is currently available to order as a kit on Nathan’s Famous online grocery shop. The kit retails for $44.99 and includes six Nathan’s Famous Meatless Farm hot dogs, six buns, and one Nathan’s Famous Deli Style Mustard bottle.

“Plant-based menu items continue to grow in popularity, and we are excited to launch the first ever gourmet, plant-based hot dog. We created this product, with Meatless Farm, not just for our flexitarian, vegetarian, and vegan customers, but for all who enjoy a healthier diet! We’ve spent a great deal of time perfecting this hot dog and making sure that those who know and love Nathan’s one-of-a-kind flavor, as well as those that might not have tried a Nathan’s hot dog due to diet, can now enjoy an option that fits their lifestyle,” James Walker, Senior Vice President of Restaurants for Nathan’s Famous, told VegOut.

Nathan’s Famous will also offer the Meatless Farm hot dogs at restaurants in New York, Connecticut, Florida, and New Jersey beginning in May.
