Vegan corned beef from Mrs. Goldfarb's Unreal Deli will be debuting on a new sandwich at all Mendocino Farms’ locations in California and Texas.

The fast casual sandwich and salad chain is expanding upon their plant-based options, partnering with Unreal Deli on their new sandwich, the Mrs. Goldfarb’s Unreal Reuben. Featuring stacked plant-based corned beef, Havarti cheese, apple and celery root slaw, bread and butter pickles, and smoky thousand island dressing, the sandwich can be easily made vegan simply by substituting one of their vegan cheese options (like Chao cheese) for Havarti.

The reuben will be tested at the Mendocino locations for three weeks, starting January 21, as the temporary “Chef’s Pick” sandwich, and then will debut as a featured sandwich on the chain’s spring menu, starting March 3.

This new sandwich adds to a variety of vegan-friendly options they already have on their menu, which include their Vegan Banh Mi, Mendo’s Smokehouse Tempeh Sandwich, The Impossible Burger Queen, The Impossible Taco Salad, and more, as well as several rotating seasonal soups and deli sides.
