The popular protein bar brand is making their plant-based debut with the launch of Salty Peanut and Hazelnut Nougat flavors.

Barebells is a functional food brand that specializes in protein bars loaded with nutrients and flavor—without any added sugar! Since launching in the US in 2019, health nuts and foodies across the country have fallen in love with the brand’s trendy, mouthwatering bars. Now we vegan peeps can join in on the deliciousness, because Barebells just launched two vegan protein bar flavors. Score!

Protein Bars Made from Better-for-You Ingredients

Barebells’s new plant-based protein bars are available in two drool-worthy flavors—Salty Peanut and Hazelnut Nougat. The Salty Peanut is an ode to the classic salty and sweet peanut butter and chocolate combo. The Hazelnut Nougat offers a rich chocolate taste with crunchy hazelnuts and creamy nougat. Both varieties come in at 15g of protein per serving, achieved using ingredients that are 100% vegan. Oh, and don’t expect to find any palm oil or added sugar on the label!

These decadent bars, which Barebells launched earlier this month, feature a nutty taste and gooey texture that make eating on the go much more satisfying. But while both flavors taste like candy, you can rest assured that these beauties are still health-forward protein bars made from better-for-you ingredients.

Plant-Based Nutrition

According to FONA International, the number of Americans following a plant-based diet has increased an estimated 300% in the last 15 years. Beyond that, there are many people who prefer consuming plant-based protein over animal-based—even if they’re not fully vegan. In line with the exponential growth the plant-based nutrition world is experiencing, Barebells decided it was time to join the movement.

“We are so excited to introduce a plant-based spin on our bestselling bars,” said Ben Jones, CEO of Barebells Functional Foods. “With our new line, we have the opportunity to bring the best tasting protein bars on the market, now as a plant-based alternative, reaching a broader customer base as we expand internationally.”
