Meet the Team
VegOut is a global team exploring what it means to live well. Rooted in the plant-based movement, our work has expanded to cover the full spectrum of conscious living—from the food on your plate to the psychology of your mind. We bring together diverse perspectives to create an honest, evidence-based guide for navigating the modern world with intention.
Ainura Kalau
Ainura was born in Central Asia, spent over a decade in Malaysia, and studied at an Australian university before settling in São Paulo, where she’s now raising her family. Her life blends cultures and perspectives, something that naturally shapes her writing. When she’s not working, she’s usually trying new recipes while binging true crime shows, soaking up sunny Brazilian days at the park or beach, or crafting something with her hands.
Chris Jeremia
Chris is a writer, yoga instructor, and former national triathlete exploring what it means to live consciously beyond the mat and the finish line. She writes about her experience navigating the complexities of modern life with a focus on presence and connection—to nature, to others, and to self. When she’s not writing, she’s climbing, experimenting in the kitchen, or befriending every dog she meets.
Daniel Moran
Daniel Moran is a writer at Brown Brothers Media and one of the network’s top-performing contributors. He covers psychology, technology, and culture across multiple publications, including Silicon Canals, VegOut, and The Vessel.

Jeanette Brown
Writer
Jeanette Brown is a coach, writer, and course creator helping people reinvent their lives—especially during major transitions like retirement. Based in Australia, she brings a warm, science-backed approach to self-growth, blending neuroscience, mindfulness, and journal-based coaching.
After a long career in education leadership, Jeanette experienced firsthand the burnout and anxiety that come with living on autopilot. Her healing began not with big changes, but small daily rituals—like journaling by hand, morning sunlight, and mindful movement. Today, she helps others find calm, clarity, and renewed purpose through her writing, YouTube channel, and courses like Your Retirement, Your Way: Thriving, Dreaming and Reinventing Life in Your 60s and Beyond.
A passionate journaler who finds clarity through movement and connection to nature, Jeanette walks daily, bike rides often, and believes the best thinking often happens under an open sky. Jeanette believes our daily habits—what we consume, how we reflect, how we move—shape not just how we feel, but who we become.
When she’s not writing or recording videos, you’ll find her riding coastal trails, dancing in her living room, or curled up with a book and a pot of herbal tea.
Justin Brown
Justin Brown is a writer and media entrepreneur based in Singapore. He co-founded a digital media company that operates publications across psychology, sustainability, technology, and culture, reaching tens of millions of readers monthly. His background spans digital strategy, content development, and the intersection of behavioral science and everyday life.
At VegOut, Justin writes about plant-based living, food psychology, and the personal dimensions of changing how you eat. He is interested in the gap between knowing something is good for you and actually doing it, and his writing explores the behavioral and emotional forces that make lasting dietary change so difficult for most people.
Outside of publishing, Justin is an avid reader of psychology, philosophy, and business strategy. He believes that the best writing about food and lifestyle should challenge assumptions rather than confirm them, and that understanding why we resist change is more useful than being told to change.
