Where to Eat Vegan on NYE and New Year’s Day in NYC

New year, who dis? With the conclusion of 2019, what better way to celebrate all that went down this year than with a delicious plant-powered plate of goodness? Whether you’re gorging in your last splurge of the year or initiating your health-inspired resolution, we’ve come up with a list of vegan and vegan-friendly restaurants open for the two-day celebration! Ring in the new year (and decade) at one of these vegan hot spots in NYC!

Beyond Sushi

134 W 37th St, New York, NY 10018 (flagship location only)

Ring in the new year with an exclusive six-course tasting menu for $95 per person from 5pm-11pm at Beyond Sushi's flagship location on December 31st for an elegant plant-based feast. Some items include truffle risotto with white winter truffles, chanterelle mushrooms, and truffle foam, Impossible pâté over whipped potatoes with caramelized onions and red wine reduction, as well as black sesame blini with smoked cashew cheese mousse, seaweed caviar, and lemon zest.

Modern Love Brooklyn

317 Union Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11211

At $75 per person, Modern Love Brooklyn will be serving a four-course dinner on New Year’s Eve. Menu items include Lucky Chick’n Soup, Buckwheat Blini w/ vegan caviar, Baked Lobster Mac & Cheese, and more. Finish the night with Pink Champagne Tiramisu—vanilla sponge, mascarpone, and raspberry for dessert.

Plant Food + Wine

67 2nd Ave, New York, NY 10003

Plant Food + Wine’s New Year’s Eve menu will feature a four-course meal with optional wine pairing. Enjoy root vegetable bouillon with black truffle, winter radish with citrus and fermented cream, cauliflower and mulberry ravioli, and a chocolate banana hazelnut dessert.

Organic Grill

123 1st Avenue, New York, NY 10003

Organic Grill is open for brunch on January 1st starting at 1pm! Some of our favorites off the regular menu include Melissa’s Mac & Cheese Bombs, the Loaded MexiCali Fries, and the Green Machine Burger! Stay tuned, as they will announce New Year’s Day brunch specials soon!

Blossom Restaurants

507 Columbus Ave, New York, NY 10024 and 187 9th Ave, New York, NY 10011

Blossom on Columbus and Blossom on Ninth are open both New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day! Check out the Trumpet Mushroom Scallops, Seitan Picatta, and the Chocolate Ganache for dessert at Blossom on Ninth. Menu items at Blossom on Columbus include Jackfruit Tacos, Wild Mushroom Pizza, and Peach Cobbler for dessert.

Screamer’s Pizzeria

685 Franklin Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11238 and 620 Manhattan Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11222

Looking for a casual slice of delicious pizza to end the year? Screamer’s Pizzeria will be open on New Year’s Eve till 10pm and have regular business hours on New Year’s Day! The menu varies by location, so stop by Greenpoint for slice of Clean Slide (pesto, broccolini, and seitan sausage on a sesame crust) or customize a calzone! Crown Heights has a larger menu with favorites such as the Philly Cheesesteak pizza, garlic knots, and Pizza Fries—curly fries covered in cheese sauce, mozz, red sauce, pepperoni, and a dash of parsley.

Champs Diner

197 Meserole St, Brooklyn, NY 11206

Champs Diner will be open till 8pm on New Year’s Eve and regular hours on New Year's Day to serve up some classic comfort food! One can never go wrong with an order of Vegan Benedict for brunch, a Buffalo Chik’n Sandwich, or a side order of their famous Mozzarella Sticks. Don’t forget to order a Cookie Dough Shake for sharing … or not.

Seasoned Vegan

55 St Nicholas Ave, New York, NY 10026

Seasoned Vegan will be hosting their 6th annual New Year’s Eve party at a new location! The party will be held at The McCarren Hotel and Pool in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Tickets can be purchased to this extravaganza on Eventbrite.
