This Valentine’s Day, Cadence, a plant-based soul food restaurant, will open in the East Village of NYC. The eatery is the newest venture from restaurateur Ravi DeRossi’s Overthrow Hospitality group. The menu was developed by executive chef Shenarri Greens and will feature soul food classics such as Southern fried lasagna, jerk mac ‘n’ cheese, and of course, creamy, heart-warming grits!

Cadence will offer a special Valentine’s Day menu, which includes arugula salad, palm cakes, smoked grits, maple buttermilk cornbread, jerk mac ‘n’ cheese, Southern fried lasagna, and Cadence cobbler for dessert. Limited indoor seating will be available, and there will also be a romantic music playlist from Chef Shenarri Greens to set the mood.
