All-day eatery, Harlow, just opened its second location on the other side of town.

The new NW café offers the same gluten-sensitive and vegan-friendly menu as its original SE spot—from its wide selection of morning scrambles to its hearty entrée-sized bowls. With hours from 9am to 8pm, there’s something to satisfy hunger no matter what time of day. In addition to the fan-favorite staples like the vegan Hathorne Mac and Cheese and the Utopian Dream Salad, the kitchen also offers fresh juices, smoothies, and elixirs. The restaurant is completely dairy-free and relies on a mix of house-made and store-bought vegan cheeses such as jalapeño cashew sauce and Daiya shreds. In lieu of eggs, customers have the option to swap in smoky tempeh or seasoned jackfruit.

The vegan restaurant scene is booming in Portland. In 2021 alone, new vegan eateries have popped up, current food carts have graduated to brick-and-mortars, and established restaurants have opened multiple locations. Harlow is just another indication that the vegan “trend” isn’t going away. It’s the future of dining.

Harlow NE is located at 505 NW 23rd Ave, Portland, OR 97210. Hours are 9am-8pm seven days a week.
