In case you missed it, the Ladurée location in Beverly Hills is all-vegan––holla! The popular Parisian cafe partnered with Matthew Kenney to curate a menu that features vegan versions of traditional French dishes and pastries. Chocolate French Toast, Spinach Omelets, Macarons, and Croissants are just a few items you can order. Their croissants are available in traditional and rose flavors and pair beautifully with a cup of tea!

This new vegan-friendly coffee shop serves quite a few croissant-tastic menu items! For starters, they carry The Ridiculous Baking Co.’s plain, almond, and chocolate croissants. If you’re craving something a bit heartier, order the OG Breakfast Sandwich on a croissant (marinated tofu or JUST Egg with vegan cheddar cheese, tomato, basil, and red onion) or the Vegan Club on a croissant (vegan chicken, bacon, avocado, cheddar cheese, sriracha aioli, tomato, onion, and kale.) Holy YUM!
While we’re on the topic of croissant sandwiches, let us introduce you to Lento Market’s Breakfast Croissant! The savory handheld contains grilled seasoned tofu, vegan bacon, fresh avocado, vegan provolone, and sriracha Vegenaise sauce. Mmm!
Toluca Bakery & Cafe
After receiving several requests from customers for vegan options, Ricardo of Toluca Bakery & Cafe started experimenting in the kitchen. He learned to substitute vegan ingredients in confections that are traditionally not plant-based. Now, most of the products at this bakery are all-vegan––including croissants, conchas, challah, and other pastries. Their croissants have the most satisfying buttery flavor and texture!
What’s the best thing that’s happened in 2020? Whole Foods launched vegan croissants at all locations nationwide! They took to Instagram to make the official announcement. “We developed these to be as close to a butter croissant as possible, using margarine and a vegan wash instead of an egg wash.” These crescent-shaped cuties can be purchased solo or in packs of four.
