Vegan Things to Do in L.A. This Weekend: November 8-10

We search the web for the best vegan things to do in the city, so you don’t have to. Here’s what’s happening this weekend.

Friday, November 8

Los Angeles Coffee Festival

Prepared to be wired all weekend long. Expect endless sips, coffee cocktails, workshops, and an epic latte art throwdown featuring Califia Farms products.

Order Your Holiday Pie

Don’t leave it to the last minute—vegan bakeries throughout the city are now accepting holiday pie orders. Many (such as Karma Baker) close order on November 22, so contact your favorite bakery and pre-purchase your pumpkin and pecan pies today.

Fresh Restaurant LA Happy Hour

LA’s newest vegan hang just launched a happy hour! From 3-6pm and 9:30pm-close, stop by for $8 craft cocktails and plant-based snacks such as Beyond cheeseburger sliders, mini nachos, and squash tacos.

Vegan Pop-ups in Highland Park

Come for the tequila at Block Party, stay for the wide array of vegan Mexican food, and continue to stay for more tequila.

Saturday, November 9

Dessert Goals

If you’ve been waiting for a dessert-only festival, this is it. Vegan options include customizable cookie dough, cookie shots, cotton candy, non-dairy After’s ice cream, and more. Can’t make it this weekend? It’s coming back November 16-17.

Eat Move Meditate

If this event title describes three of your favorite things, head to The Jefferson for this five-hour quarterly event. Your ticket includes yoga, meditation, and Afrobeats classes followed by a dance party and light bites.

LA Confidential Art Show

Get some Christmas shopping done early and grab lunch while you’re at it. Free to the public, this multi-media event will feature live music, fine art, photography, handmade jewelry, vegan fashion, cruelty-free cosmetics, vegan food for purchase, and more.

MANEATINGPLANT Supperclub

Make it a date! This intimate, eight-course vegan dinner at The Venice Love Shack will showcase the variety and depth of Chinese and Taiwanese cuisine. Reserve your seat now—there are only 20 in total.

Mama's International Tamales Pop-up at MooShoes

Buy yourself a new pair of vegan leather fall booties then enjoy a plate of vegan tamales, pupusas, and ceviche along with a cup of cinnamon-y horchata at this all-vegan shoe store.

SunCafe Raw Vegan Cooking Classes

Build your raw vegan repertoire by participating in these weekly Saturday morning cooking classes. This week, chef Ron Russell is demonstrating both raw and cooked homemade cheeses. Learn to make Paprika Cheddar, Sundried Tomato Ricotta, Brie, and Nacho cheese all in 90 minutes.

Sunday, November 10

Veg Pop-up at State Brewing Co.

Head out to Gardena to experience the last vegan Sunday pop-up before the winter hiatus. Vendors include Mama’s Tamales and Pupusas, Baked Vegan Sweets, Srey Vegan, and Naughty Boy Sushi.

Baba's Vegan Cafe Pop-up

Stop by this Leimert Park area pop-up for one (or four) of its famous flaky veggie patties. Look out for specialities to round out your meal including vegan lasagna, Baba Notyo Nachos, and Baba’s Lentil Soup. The stand is open from 3:30pm-8pm or until sold out.

The Little Green Kitchen Pop-up

Feast on nachos, tostadas, tacos, and cheesecake at the Brentwood Farmers Market from 9am-2pm!

Vegan Exchange LA

Vegan Exchange (formerly known as Vegan Sunday) is Vegan Street Fair’s weekly vegan market. From 11am-5pm, stroll Bakman Ave in NOHO looking for your next food and Instagram story victim.

Smorgasburg

Enjoy Instagrammable eats from LA’s most prestigious pop-ups, including Workaholic, Happiness Capsule, Donut Friend, Señoreata, and more!
