Vegan Things to Do in L.A. This Weekend: November 22-24

We search the web for the best vegan things to do in the city, so you don’t have to. Here’s what’s happening this weekend.

Friday, November 22

Singles Vegan Food Tour

Meet fellow vegan foodies at this matchmaking meetup. The tour will begin at SunCafe and travel via luxury shuttle service to vegan-friendly spots in West Hollywood. Visit the SunCafe website to reserve your seat.

Eat Love Grand Opening

Beloved vegan pop-up, Eat Love, is opening its brick and mortar in Fountain Valley this Friday. Come celebrate the company as it makes history as America’s first vegan fried chicken shop, and of course, get yourself a bucket of crispy, juicy, vegan fried chicken.

Order Your Vegan Thanksgiving Meal

Vegan restaurants across the city are offering Thanksgiving packages to-go, but many orders close by Monday. Whether you’re in the mood for Sugar Taco Tamales or more traditional fare from Real Food Daily, don’t delay to secure your Tofurky Day feast. Miss the deadline? Check out these vegan restaurants open on Thanksgiving.

Vegan Pop-ups in Highland Park

Come for the tequila at Block Party, stay for the wide array of vegan Mexican food, and continue to stay for more tequila. The party starts at 6pm and rages until 12am!

Saturday, November 23

Green Saturday 4 Year Anniversary

Head to Common Space Brewery in Hawthorne to celebrate this long-standing vegan marketplace. Over 30 vegan vendors will be represented along with live music, brews, and more. Arrive early to get your free swag bag—the event begins at 12pm.

Tofurky Trot

Run the race before you stuff your face! This vegan-friendly 5k is a Los Angeles tradition, and proceeds benefit animal welfare organizations. Hurry and get to the finish line—vegan vendors and swag bags await!

Save the Turkeuy Brunch

Sit down to a swanky plant-based brunch at Circa55 inside the posh Beverly Hilton Hotel. The turkey-free spread includes sumptuous savory dishes and sweets from LadureexMK. This special vegan menu will be available both Saturday and Sunday.

Treadmill Marathon for Farm Sanctuary

Hosted by the Santa Monica Sports Club and held at Busby’s East Bar, six treadmills will be set up for teams and individuals to run 26.2 miles. One brave runner, Blake Dirickson, will complete the full distance on his own. All donations will benefit Farm Sanctuary.

Pizza at Art Share-LA

Grab one of the best pizzas in the city at The Pizza Plant truck before walking into this free art event. The salon-style show features local emerging artists and lasts from 7pm-10pm.

Sunday, November 24

Epic Vegan Friendsgiving

Ever been to a Friendsgiving with 200+ guests? Asher Brown of Pollution Studios is hosting his annual epic vegan Friendsgiving to unite the greater Los Angeles vegan community with the power of vegan food. Bring a dish (it doesn’t have to serve 200 people), sample the 50-foot table of communal vegan eats, then mix and mingle on the dance floor, in the bouncy house, or around the s’mores fire pit. The event begins at 2pm and runs until 8pm.

Baba's Vegan Cafe Pop-up

Stop by this Leimert Park area pop-up for one (or four) of its famous flaky veggie patties. Look out for specialities to round out your meal including vegan lasagna, Baba Notyo Nachos, and Baba’s Lentil Soup. The stand is open from 3:30pm-8pm or until sold out.

The Little Green Kitchen Pop-up

Feast on nachos, tostadas, tacos, and cheesecake at the Brentwood Farmers Market from 9am-2pm!

Vegan Exchange

Vegan Exchange (formerly known as Vegan Sunday) is Vegan Street Fair’s weekly vegan market. From 11am-5pm, stroll Bakman Ave in NOHO looking for your next food and Instagram story victim.

Smorgasburg

Enjoy Instagrammable eats from LA’s most prestigious pop-ups, including Workaholic, Happiness Capsule, Donut Friend, Señoreata, and more!
