Things To Do
Los Angeles

We search the web for the best vegan things to do in the city, so you don’t have to. Here’s what’s happening this weekend.

Friday, March 6

Fresh Fridays at Besties Vegan Paradise

East Hollywood

Dive into hot chicken and dance along to the DJ tunes amongst the supermarket shelves of this all-vegan market. Lettuce Feast LA will be on-site serving Hot Honee Chik’n (in both sandwich and tender form) and pudding parfaits. Our tip: get the parfait to go and try Besties new oat-based soft-serve that night.

Vegan Friday Nights in Long Beach

Long Beach

Peruse the array of pop-up vendors outside of Modern Buds while catching up with your Long Beach pals. Go all-in and split the enchiladas from Xonxitas Vegan Mexican Kitchen, a pizza from Sourdough Nation, a pair of tamales from Shane’s Tamales, and wash it all down with champurrado from Vegan Jam.

Vegan Pop-Ups in Highland Park

Highland Park

Come for a cocktail at Block Party, stay for mouthwatering vegan street food vendors, and cap off the night with a midnight donut at Donut Friend. The party starts at 6pm and rages until 12am!

Veganos En Boyle Heights Community Vegan Market

Boyle Heights

Explore the latest vegan event at this charitably minded community pop-up. Organized by the founders of Drink Leche, La Vuena Vida, and Dear Mama LA, this group of vendors is donating 10% of all proceeds to local community non-profits that advocate for immigrants rights. The event will be held from 5-10pm at Mariachi Plaza.

Saturday, March 7

Kick back as this luxury shuttle service transports you from vegan hotspot to vegan hotspot for a ridiculously delicious curational food experience. Enjoy tapas-style dining and dessert at three vegan eateries—from Pura Vita to Laudree—and end the evening with a goody bag bursting with swag. It’s the perfect date night/birthdaypresent/just-because gift! Tickets are available on Eventbrite.

Cooking Class at SunCafe

Studio City

Satisfy your sweet tooth today and forever by nailing these dessert recipes. Guided by Chef Ron Russell, learn how to bake vegan apple pie, jam-stuffed crepes, brownies, and banana ice cream sundaes that are all nut-free, low-fat, and contain no added sugar. Sample to your heart’s content.

Sunday, March 8

Watch the LA Marathon (or Avoid the Traffic)

Multiple Locations

Runners will take off from Dodger’s Stadium through the streets of LA to a momentous and well-deserved finish at the Santa Monica Pier. Cheer them on along the course and perhaps get inspired to run the race next year. Visit the LA Marathon website for the best viewing sites and significant road closures.

Self-Care Sunday Yoga & Breakfast

Long Beach

Went a little too hard Saturday night? Revive yourself with this gentle restorative yoga session accompanied by a welcoming juice reception and plant-based breakfast. Tickets are available on Eventbrite under La Dolce Vita Spa.

Vegan Exchange

North Hollywood

Vegan Exchange is Vegan Street Fair’s weekly vegan market. From 11am-5pm, stroll Bakman Ave in NOHO in search of your new favorite vegan burrito, pizza, sushi roll, or sweet treat. Our tip: Make this a regular habit to try all the vendors over time!

Smorgasburg LA

DTLA

For some, a weekend is not complete without a trip to Smorgasburg. Indulge in your vegan favorites such as Cena Vegan, Madame Shugah, or try the new and vegan-friendly Burmese Please.
