SunCafe Cooking Class
Studio City
Learn how to prepare vegan dishes with weekly cooking classes Saturday mornings at SunCafe in Studio City. This week’s theme is Middle Eastern cuisine. Participants will learn how to make tabouli, stuffed cabbage, and raw or baked falafel.
Vegan Symposium
Sylmar
If you’re looking for help transitioning to a plant-based diet, especially cooking-wise, or just want another event where you can learn more and try out new recipes, then head to the Vegan Symposium at the Culinary Arts Institute at Los Angeles Mission College. Chef Jesus Sanchez and the culinary staff and students will be teaching, as well as be preparing various foods to sample. Dishes will include everything from pastas to salads, desserts to drinks, and more. General public admission is $25.
Vegan Street Fair
North Hollywood
Both this Saturday and Sunday, from 11am-7pm, enjoy food from loads of different local vegan and vegan-friendly eateries and vendors all in one spot. Entry is free and it’s open to all ages.

The Little Green Kitchen Pop-Up
Brentwood
Vegan tacos, nachos, tostadas, and cheesecakes will be available at The Little Green Kitchen’s pop-up at Brentwood Village Farmers Market (9am-2pm). Enjoy 100% plant-based organic asada, carnitas, umami crumbles, and more in your meal, and don’t forget to grab their cashew cheesecake of the week too.
The Gentle Barn Tours
Santa Clarita
The Gentle Barn hosts public tours every Sunday between 10am-2pm. You’ll be able to hang out with the animals and see all the amazing work this nonprofit is doing. Bonus, Frankenstand is there every Sunday serving up delicious gourmet vegan franks. Tickets are $20/adult and $10/kid.
Vegan Eats at Smorgasburg LA
DTLA
Head to Smorgasburg LA from 10am-4pm to find some vegan noms. Vegan vendors include Cena Vegan, Senoreata, Madame Shugah, Donut Friend, plus more.
