The Nightmare Before Christmas Art Show

Grab a brew and a vegan cupcake while you peruse the art selection at The Tattoo Gallery. The event will be held from 7-10pm and feature a DJ, raffle prizes, goodies from Two Birds Baking Co, and a Tim Burton-esque collection from local artists.

The beloved Silverlake restaurant was just served a notice to vacate due to a developer's plans to gentrify the area. While the business was allowed an extension and will be open until January 31, consider these the final days to get your Lemon Berry Cake.

Head to The Valley from 6:30-10pm for vegan eats from Srey Vegan, Sweet Serenity, Veggietizeme, Boricua Bowls, and Voodoo Vegan.

Medicinal Plant Hike

Head down to Orange County for some much-needed outdoor zen during the holidays. This donation-based event begins at 1:30pm with a guided yoga session followed by a nature walk in search of medicinal herbs. Join in the reiki circle and sample some foraged tea before you leave. All proceeds will support Live Will Bakery—a Long Beach-based vegan pop-up.

Sign up to reserve your spot for this vintage dinner party-themed cooking course. Follow along with Chef Ron Russell as he demonstrates recipes including Waldorf Salad, Lemon-Glazed Tofu with Blacked Zucchini over White Bean Coulis, and Double Chocolate Pie.

Naples Island Holiday Boat Parade

Grab an oat milk hot cocoa and find a spot amongst the crowd to watch the floating holiday extravaganza. The large boats kick off in front of Naples Plaza at 6pm. Once the boats have passed you by, linger a bit longer and stroll along the canals—taking in the marvelous decorations of these beachside homes.

Tamalada & Tamale Festival

Santa Ana

Support a vegan pop-up-turned-brick-and-mortar at this community charity event. La Vegana Mexicana will be serving up vegan tamales along with drinks and live music. Follow the business on Instagram to purchase your ticket. All proceeds will benefit Latino Health Access’ Diabetes Self-Management Program. Mark your calendar for another Santa Ana-based tamale festival on Thursday, December 19, which will also feature La Vegana Mexicana.

KW Vegan Fair

Santa Ana

It’s back! This intimate weekly Orange County event is relaunching after a few months of lying dormant. From 11am-4pm, vendors including Cena Vegan, Los Salviganos, Devis Donuts, Allison’s Goods, and more will pop up outside of the Kannabis Works building (which will be open, for those curious).

Baba’s Vegan Cafe Pop-Up

Stop by this Leimert Park area pop-up for one (or four) of its famous flaky veggie patties. Look out for specialities to round out your meal including vegan lasagna, Baba Notyo Nachos, and Baba’s Lentil Soup. The stand is open from 3:30pm-8pm or until sold out.
