Things To Do
Los Angeles

We search the web for the best vegan things to do in the city, so you don’t have to. Here’s what’s happening this weekend.

Friday, August 30

Vegan Pop-Ups in Highland Park

Come for the tequila at Block Party, stay for the wide array of vegan Mexican food, and continue to stay for more tequila. Vegan pop-ups line York Blvd on Friday nights.

Saturday, August 31

Nights: Mash-Ups!

Thirty vendors convene in the cool, late summer air to present special, one-time collaborations. Some quick math tells us that’s 14 collabs, meaning 14 new eats to experience. Hubba hubba. Add in drinks, arcade games, karaoke, and you have an event on a scale only Vegan Street Fair can pull off.

Vegan by Victoria’s Pop-Up at Cocobella

Swing by Cocobella Creamery in Hollywood for scoops of their decadent ice cream along with nostalgic Mexican sweets from Vegan by Victoria’s. If you also had the thought of putting a scoop of ice cream between two conchas, then we’re definitely adding you to our Myspace top 8.

Suncafe Raw Vegan Cooking Classes

Weekends are the perfect time for learning a new skill. Join Chef Ron at SunCafe for a raw vegan cooking class.

Pasadena Daydream Musical Festival

As if seeing Deftones and The Cure at the Rose Bowl couldn’t get any better, there’ll be a plethora of astounding vegan vendors to cure your hunger pains (haha, get it?). The vendor list includes Nic’s on Beverly, Donut Friend, Cena Vegan, Organix, and a whole lot more. Time to scoop up some nachos from Cena, grab a stacked burger from Organix, and bang your head to Deftones like the conscious SoCal-ian you were always meant to be. Click here to check out our vegan food guide to Pasadena Daydream.
