Vegan Eats Friday Pop-up in Highland Park

Highland Park

Plant-based food trucks & pop-ups serving everything from fried chicken, tortas, and ice cream, take over York Street in Highland Park. Grab a shot of tequila from a nearby bar, follow your nose like Shaggy to the best-smelling vendor, and await your Scooby Snack.

Suncafe Cooking Class

Studio City

Learn how to prepare vegan dishes with weekly cooking classes Saturday mornings at SunCafe in Studio City. This week’s theme is “Cooked Thai Cuisine.” Participants will learn how to make Thai red curry vegetables, pad thai, and tom kha.

 

OC Vegan Village: OC Vegan Fest

Santa Ana

Explore a village of over 25 vegan vendors all in one spot. There’ll be local favorites, as well as ones from further regions that you try out. Check it out from 11am-6pm.

 

“All Vegan Everything” at BESTIES

East Hollywood

From 12pm-4pm, stop by BESTIES for pop-ups from a variety of vegan vendors, including the world’s first vegan Jewish delicatessen, @mortandbettys, along with cookies from @mayascookiessandiego, vegan merch from @veganpowerco, and tacos and more from @dearmamala. Plus, there’ll be music provided by @lbvegan.

 

“Eating You Alive” Screening

Thousand Oaks

Head out to Thousand Oaks for a free screening of “Eating You Alive,” a documentary that discusses why Americans are so sick and what the solution is, along with a free plant-based luncheon beforehand and door prize drawings. After the screening, stick around for a Q&A with nutritionist Dr. John Westerdahl.

The Little Green Kitchen Pop-Up

Brentwood

Vegan tacos, nachos, tostadas, and cheesecakes will be available at The Little Green Kitchen’s pop-up at Brentwood Village Farmers Market (9am-2pm). Enjoy 100% plant-based organic asada, carnitas, umami crumbles, and more in your meal, and don’t forget to grab their cashew cheesecake of the week too.

 

The Gentle Barn Tours

Santa Clarita

The Gentle Barn hosts public tours every Sunday between 10am-2pm. You’ll be able to hang out with the animals and see all the amazing work this nonprofit is doing. Bonus, Frankenstand is there every Sunday serving up delicious gourmet vegan franks. Tickets are $20/adult and $10/kid.

 

Vegan Eats at Smorgasburg LA

DTLA

Head to Smorgasburg LA from 10am-4pm to find some vegan noms. Vegan vendors include Cena Vegan, Senoreata, Madame Shugah, Donut Friend, plus more.

 

Vegan by El Zamorano Pop-Up

Santa Ana

Check out this afternoon all-vegan pop-up in Santa Ana, featuring Vegan by El Zamorano, plus rotating vendors each week.

 

VegPop! Vegan Food, Beer & Tunes

Gardena

This free, family and dog-friendly hangout presented by Green Saturday will be an afternoon of vegan food,a selection of beers and micheladas from State Brewing Co., and music. Food vendors include Vegan Tamale Co., Live Well Bakery, Enjoying Earth, Lobo Cuban Bowls, and Original Herbivore.

 

LA’s Vegan Seder

Enjoy a four-course vegan meal and learn about Passover’s connection with veganism at LA’s Vegan Seder hosted by Jewish Veg, an organization that helps people embrace plant-based diets, while following Judaism’s highest ideals of compassion for animals, health, and the environment.
