Things To Do

The monthly food festival is expanding and is set to have its largest event this August.

The popular monthly pop-up made its return to North County San Diego last month. The August event, which will be held on Saturday the 21st, is set to be the largest all-vegan food festival that North County has ever seen.

Vegan Options in San Diego

There are a ton of vegan options in San Diego, and the Vegan Food Popup does a great job of bringing them all together for one jam-packed day of endless plant-based eats. All of the food vendors are local to San Diego, so guests can sample neighborhood favorites and connect with the local community in a safe and welcoming environment.

Guests can expect to find big-name San Diego brands like Maya’s Cookies and Seva Foods, as well as a long list of new vendors serving up everything from nachos topped with hibiscus meat to traditional Kenyan dishes and loaded vegan hot dogs. Kombucha Cares will be there serving up plenty of kombucha and cold brew to help guests beat the heat! The full list of vendors and their menus can be found here.

As well as the food vendors, there will be several nonprofit organizations popping up with free information and volunteer opportunities, including marine conservation group Sea Shepherd and animal rescue network Direct Action Everywhere.
