If you want to jam out to A$AP Rocky while grubbing on a vegan burger, this is the event for you!

With more and more food festivals, concerts, and other events taking place, things are finally starting to seem lively again in Los Angeles. If you like food and music, clear your plans for November 6 and 7. ComplexCon is happening in Long Beach next weekend—here are the vegan options to enjoy while you’re there!

Two-Day Cultural Festival in Long Beach

ComplexCon is a two-day cultural festival in Long Beach that highlights new and upcoming brands, people, art, and trends in the pop culture world. This year’s event is hosted by J Balvin and Kristen Noel Crawley and features a special performance by A$AP Rocky. There is an epic lineup of brands for customers to shop—including Billionaire Boys Club, Adidas, and AWGE—as well as a whole food and beverage section, nicknamed the First We Feast Lagoon.

ComplexCon’s First We Feast Lagoon

The popular food digital platform First We Feast partnered with the food culture agency Care of Chan to curate a diverse mix of food and beverage businesses to serve at the First We Feast Lagoon. From popular, established restaurants to new, innovative pop-ups, there’s a range of vendors to check out. Best of all, ComplexCon has waived the fees for vendors to participate in the event due to the struggles faced by the restaurant industry during the pandemic.

Vegan Options at ComplexCon

The vegan options at ComplexCon are abundant! For starters, there are two all-vegan vendors serving grub. First is the vegan fast-food restaurant Beleaf Burgers. At the event, Beleaf Burgers will debut a special collaboration with Trill Burger, founded by rapper Bun B. The musician will actually be on-site flipping burgers for guests! The second vegan vendor is the popular Cuban pop-up Señoreata, which will offer an exclusive dish called the Frita Cubana Doble Doble Encendió. It’s a sandwich made with two Cuban-rubbed Impossible patties doused in Señoreata secret frita hot sauce layered with shoestring potatoes, melted provolone, grilled onions, garlic aioli, pickles, and more frita on a ballpark bun.

In addition, three vegan-friendly vendors are serving vegan options at the event. Bridgetown Roti will offer Garlic Trini Eggplant and Scallion, Sweet Plantains, and Channa & Sweet Potato Roti. Sesame Dinette x Twaydabae will serve a vegan option of their Lemongrass Beef Noodle Salad and Mochi Rice Nachos with Flank Steak. Last but certainly not least, Afters Ice Cream will be scooping two plant-based ice cream flavors—Chocolate Chip Cookie and Mango Sorbet.
