Kind Heart Coalition
Kind Heart Coalition is a San Diego-based nonprofit organization that was launched back in 2018 with a mission of uniting the vegan and animal rights groups in the community through events and volunteer opportunities.
Vegan Camping Festival in Southern California
Among the group’s event lineup is the Kind Heart Campout, a vegan camping festival in Southern California. The shindig kicks off next Friday, August 13, and continues throughout the weekend with a jam-packed itinerary.
The three-day festival will be emceed by environmental activist, Merissa Underwood (also known as Miss Montana USA 2020). Guests will be able to take part in speaker panels, activism workshops, games, art activities, yoga classes, and dance parties. In addition, attendees can choose from a variety of vegan meals provided by Follow Your Heart, Tofurky, and Bear Bar.
Tickets to the Kind Heart Campout are $65 per person which covers the campsite rental, showers, bathrooms, and events, as well as dinner on Friday, lunch on Saturday, breakfast on Sunday, and Palomar Mountain spring drinking water. Want to bring your kids and pups? There is a separate tent site for families as well as special activities specifically for children. The cost of a kid’s ticket (5-12 years old) is $20. You can bring kids under 5 at no additional cost.
The Kind Heart Campout
The first annual Kind Heart Campout is set to take place from Friday, August 13 to Sunday, August 15 about 55 miles north of San Diego at Harrison Serenity Ranch (18187 Nate Harrison Rd, Palomar Mountain, CA 92060). The ranch is surrounded by hundreds of oak trees in a serene part of Palomar Mountain. The location features plenty of hiking trails, viewing decks, outdoor showers, a labyrinth, and even an amphitheater.
Kind Heart Coalition co-founder Rachel Hosler stated, “We’re so excited to offer a weekend of nature, nurture, and knowledge at the Kind Hearted Campout!”
