This month’s Smorg Tip: Señoreata is the first vendor to make the Monthly Smorg Tip twice! Holla! Oh right—let us tell you why. Last time we highlighted Señoreata’s vegan Cuban sandwiches, but this time we’re here to let you know about their yuca fries, which are light and fluffy on the inside, crispy and seasoned on the outside, and served with a side of pungent garlic aioli. If you’ve never had yuca fries, now’s your time to give ‘em a chance, because they can be even more irresistible than potato fries. I KNOW, SHOCKING, but it’s the month of Halloween afterall!

An Interview with AFI’s Davey Havok

Lead singer of punk rock band AFI, Davey Havok is no stranger to veganism—having been vegan for over two decades. As part of the straight edge community in the 90s, he was heavily influenced by its members who also abstained from the use of animal products. In 2021, AFI released their new album, Bodies. We chatted with Havok to learn more about his music career and vegan lifestyle.
