1. Bloktoberfest @ Block Party Highland Park

OCTOBER 5-6

Join in on the Oktoberfest festivities at Block Party Highland Park. They’ll kick off Bloktoberfest Friday with an exclusive The Booth Brewing Co. tap takeover. Then on Saturday, there will be a full day of beer, music, and vegan food. Plus, Cena Vegan will be debuting their plant-based french dip!

 

2. Vegtoberfest

OCTOBER 6

Green Saturday LA  brings you Vegtoberfest! There will be vegan food, beer, live music, and more. Admission is free, but make sure to RSVP ahead of time.

 

3. Vegan Scene Grand Opening Party

OCTOBER 6

Los Angeles’ premiere vegan fashion and lifestyle boutique has moved and will be celebrating their re-grand opening. Join the party – there will be fashion, food, drinks, and music!

 

4. LA Reggae Vegan Fest

OCTOBER 7

Vibe out to live reggae music and celebrate all things vegan! Food and drink vendors include: The Vegan Joint, Rahel’s Restaurant, Equelecua Cuban Vegan Cafe, Flaco Restaurant, Chicana Vegana, Pooja’s Cuisine of India, Southern Fried Vegan, Soup Bazaar, Nyaminz Kitchen, Evolution Burger, Amenti Burgers, Pucker Up Lemonade, Engergy Smoothie Bar, 4ward Movements, and Nature’s Coolers Juice & Punch. Shopping vendors include: Ellora Vegan Organic Wellness Center, Brownhaze Jewelry, Evolution Vegan Dog & Cat Food, iApparel, LA Animal Save, Muse Cosmetics, and nACTurals Holistic Wellness.

 

5. Flow + Flavor: Rooftop Yoga at Smorgasburg LA x Row DTLA

OCTOBER 7

Yoga + brunch. Get your flow on at Flow + Flavor: Rooftop Yoga at Smorgasburg x ROW DTLA and enjoy brunch from Smorgasburg LA after. Vegan/vegan-friendly vendors include Cena Vegan, Senoreata, Madame Shugah, Donut Friend, and more!

 

6. L.A. Plant Powered Run & Walk for Farm Animals

OCTOBER 13

Run/walk for the animals! Join Farm Sanctuary at Woodley Park to help raise money for a great cause.

 

7. Craftoberfest LA

OCTOBER 13

While not an all-vegan event, CraftoberFest LA will feature tons of vegan-friendly breweries.

 

8. Plant Focus

OCTOBER 14

Gain eduction on plant-based nutrition, mental health, performance, and mindfulness. This 4.5 hour workshop experience will feature catered food from Cafe Gratitude; presentations by Simon Hill (founder of Plant Proof), Bianca Taylor (co-founder of Vegan Fitness), and Nimai Delgado (co-founder of Vegan Fitness); guided meditation; a soul healing sound bath; and goodie bags.

 

9. SoCal VegFest

OCTOBER 20-21

SoCal VegFest is back! Enjoy a day filled with free samples, food vendors, a cruelty-free marketplace, speakers, food demos, entertainment, kids activities, and more.

 

10. Tony’s Darts Away’s 6th Annual Vegan Chili Cook Off

OCTOBER 21

Come taste vegan chili from five different chefs and vote for your favorite one! There will be a people’s choice award and judge’s choice award. Our founder, Maggie Ortlieb, will be on the judging panel, alongside vegan guru, Chef Tal Ronnen, and Chef Caroline Concha of Beelman’s. Competing chefs include: Avocadamama, Clean South, Krimsey’s Cajun Kitchen,Taqueria La Venganza, and Word of Mouth. A portion of the proceeds goes to Rescue + Freedom Project!

 

11. As You Are: Women’s Wellness Fest

OCTOBER 21

As You Are is a wellness event for the modern woman to reclaim ancestral knowledge while shedding trauma in a safe, supportive environment. It will feature inspiring girl bosses, meditation, yoga, yummy treats, goodie bags, a female-friendly marketplace, and lunch by MANEATINGPLANT!

 

12. Live Cajun Music + Home-Style Cajun Vegan Dinner

OCTOBER 25

Join Krimsey’s for an evening of live music from The High Life Cajun Band and a 100% vegan cajun menu, including favorites such as Cajun Jambalaya, New Orleans Poboy, Hushpuppies, French Quarter Beignets, and more!

18. The Gentle Barn Tours

EVERY SUNDAY

The Gentle Barn hosts public tours every Sunday between 10am-2pm. You’ll be able to hang out with the animals and see all the amazing work this nonprofit is doing. Bonus, Frankenstand is there every Sunday between 10 and 2 serving up delicious gourmet vegan franks. Tickets are $20/adult and $10/kid.

 

19. Vegan Eats at Smorgasburg

EVERY SUNDAY

Head to Smorgasburg LA for some vegan noms. Vegan/vegan-friendly vendors include Cena Vegan, Senoreata, Madame Shugah, Donut Friend, and more!

 

20. Vegan by El Zamorano

EVERY SUNDAY

If you’re in the OC, head over to Santa Ana for Vegan by El Zamorano‘s weekly vegan pop-up. It happens from noon-4pm and features plant-based Mexican food, plus a variety of additional vegan vendors each week! Featured vendors have included: Eat.Love.Yoga, Pies by Domonic, Mi Kasa Vegana, Jades Vegan Sushi, A Delightful Batch, and more!
