Marty’s V Burger of New York City recently launched a program to aid healthcare workers on the front line. For every two meals donated by the public, Marty’s will donate one meal and for every $2 donated by the public, Marty will donate $1 to the front line.
Inspired by a post about the long hours medical staff are clocking, owner Marty Krutolow made the decision to partner with Support + Feed, an initiative by Maggie Baird created to support both LA and NYC vegan restaurants and healthcare workers impacted by COVID-19. Donations to the program can be made through Marty’s V Burger website (martysvburger.com).
According to Marty, the burger joint has already made several trips with food donations to a local ER independently. However, Marty expressed, “We are enthusiastic about partnering with Support + Feed to broaden the scope of distribution to those in need."
Marty’s V Burger, a 100% plant-based restaurant serving up burgers, fries, mac ‘n’ cheese, and more, opened its doors in 2017. They are currently open for pickup or delivery.
Marty’s V Burger is located at 134 E 27th St, New York, NY 10016.
