Canadian plant-based restaurant Fresh recently opened a location on Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood. This marks the eatery’s sixth location in total, but first U.S. location. Fresh is known for its shareable cuisine, as well as a variety of drinks—cold-pressed juices, protein shakes, house-made sodas, botanical cocktails, wines, superfood hot chocolate, and Intelligentsia coffee.
“When we first started thinking about bringing Fresh to the U.S., I immediately knew that L.A. was the perfect location,” said Fresh co-founder Ruth Tal. “This city has been such an inspiration to me, from its vibrant culture to its groundbreaking cuisine. I’m excited for this to be the place to introduce Fresh to the U.S.”
Menu highlights include dishes like their Quinoa Onion Rings, All Star salad, Powerhouse and Beach bowls, authentic Jerusalem-style hummus, vegan poutine, gluten-free pancakes, and flatbreads with Italian sausage and feta, along with drinks like their Julia Caesar, which features Corbin Cash sweet potato vodka, vegan clamato, crispy cauliflower garnish, and a wild salt rim, along with their Smoke & Mirrors, which is made with Yola mezcal, cachaça, cold pressed organic pineapple, organic lemon, coconut milk, and Thai basil.
“It is such a dream to collaborate with my friend and partner Ruth to open Fresh in Los Angeles,” said Fresh LA co-owner Shereen Arazm. “At Fresh, we want to welcome everyone by making plant-based food accessible and enjoyable for all.”
Fresh on Sunset is located at 8768 Sunset Blvd and open Mon-Wed 11am-10:30pm, Thurs-Fri 11am-11:30pm, and Sat-Sun 10am-10:30pm.
