Watch Brand Skagen Just Launched a Sustainable Vegan Leather Collection
What time is it? Time for you to get a new vegan leather watch from Skagen! That’s right, the Danish-inspired accessories brand just launched Aaren Naturals, an eco-friendly watch line featuring leather alternatives made with bio-based materials like apples.
The Aaren Naturals line is modeled after Skagen’s bestselling Aaren watch—but this time, it’s made from sustainable materials! Each timepiece’s case and strap features pro-planet materials, including stainless steel with recycled content and leather alternatives made from mulberry bark, cork, and apples. The watches are now available to purchase in 36-millimeter or 40-millimeter case sizes and a variety of colors.
“Skagen is a brand influenced by Danish design, and we often look to Denmark for inspiration with the progressive steps they’ve made when it comes to sustainability,” says Steve Evans, Chief Brand Officer. “Our teams are working diligently to transform our processes from sourcing to design, for a greater, more sustainable future. We are proud to introduce our most sustainable collection, Aaren Naturals, on Earth Day and incredibly excited to share more on our sustainability efforts in the coming months.”
The brand expressed intentions to become more eco-conscious as they continue operations. They are already offering an increased number of styles using more sustainable materials and take action to combat climate change through water and waste reductions. In addition to their current pro-planet practices, Skagen has committed to producing styles that 100% meet their pro-planet criteria by 2025.
The Aaren Naturals collection will be available beginning April 22 and retail for $125. For more information on Skagen’s pro-planet commitments, visit Skagen.com or check out @skagendenmark on Instagram.

An Austin native, actress, yogi, and part-time sword fighter (don’t ask!), Allie is on a mission to live her best life and inspire others to do the same. She graduated from Hussian College In Studio with a B.F.A. in Contemporary Musical Theatre + Film and currently acts, writes, and eats her way through Los Angeles.
