These may be the tidiest sloppy joes you’ve ever had—though it’ll only be from licking your plate clean!

Tidy Ben’s Sloperia, an oxymoron of deliciousness, is set for grand opening on March 27th in San Antonio, Texas and is bringing back the nostalgic flavors not typically found on vegan menus. Though burgers, fries, and nachos, and even ooey gooey desserts are easily found on menus across the country, you’d be hard-pressed to find the messy, tomato-based, and slightly sweet goodness that is Mom’s sloppy joes.

Ben Cardenas first launched the concept for his sloperia out of a local ghost kitchen, holding pop-up events throughout the region, and the new brick-and-mortar has been a hit in its soft-opening stage in Sloptown … er … Southtown. March 27th’s grand opening will launch the full menu, which consists of four flavor varieties of the plant-based meat—original, BBQ, fiesta, and curry—served over sweet Hawaiian-style buns. Level up the meal by getting any of the flavors in Sloppy Frito Pie form or as Sloppy Tots, using corn chips or tater tots as the base.

The new spot is located inside Jokesters 22 Pub N Grub (713 S Alamo St, San Antonio, TX 78205), and Ben’s business model is just as “tidy” as his new spot, with plans to expand and give back via a pay-what-you-can meal plan.
