Vegan Peruvian Ghost Kitchen Opens in West Los Angeles Today
West LA’s Qusqo Bistro has developed a new vegan ghost kitchen concept due to the wild popularity of its plant-based menu. The Peruvian spot has been a staple in the Sawtelle neighborhood for 13 years for both vegans and omnivores alike, serving both traditional, meat-based fare alongside its increasingly requested vegan dishes.
Owner Lucy Haro believes her food offers healing powers through nourishment, and this belief has been passed down along with her families’ recipes for hundreds of years. She explained, “I have always been enamored with the healing properties of our native food, and my vegan customers were just as intrigued.”
Haro’s ghost kitchen offshoot, Llama Love Vegan, will expand on Qusqo Bistro’s current plant-based offerings and provide customers a completely animal-free experience. Dishes include saltado de vegetales (a traditional Peruvian stir-fry served with fries), choclo con queso (corn in cheese sauce), arroz con leche (sweet rice pudding), and more.
Llama Love opens May 13 and will be open for dinner from 5-9pm Monday through Saturday and lunch from noon-3pm on Saturday. Orders can be placed at LlamaLoveVegan.com for delivery only.
