Westwood will be welcoming another vegan-friendly Tocaya Organica location to the city of Los Angeles on Friday, February 22. This modern and organic Mexican chain offers tacos, burritos, salads, and bowls—the majority of which can be made vegan.

This new location will be the twelfth store opening for the brand, and they plan to have a total of 19 stores opened by the end of this year. For the Westwood location’s grand opening, and as a “neighborhood appreciation day” for locals and local businesses, they will have a ‘First Round’s on Us’ special on Saturday, March 2. This means your first two tacos are free with any purchase of an entree, side, or beverage.

For each of Tocaya’s entrees (tacos, burritos, salads, or bowls), you choose your style (the fixings), and then a protein and cheese. All styles per entree can be made vegan if you select a vegan protein (their Vegan Picadillo, a pea-based protein with veggies, or their spicy Adobo Tofu) and vegan cheese (vegan mozzarella or vegan chipotle jack). Some plant-based side options include chips & salsa, guacamole (served with crispy plantain chips), sweet corn tamales, and tortilla soup. Beverages range from aguas frescas and iced teas to juices and more. They’ve also got a vegan Waffle Ice Cream Sandwich for dessert, which features Craig’s Vegan Vanilla Ice Cream between two churro waffles and is topped with chocolate sauce.

This newest Tocaya Organica is located at 1122 Gayley Avenue #101B and open 7 days a week from 11:00am-10pm.
