Vegan-friendly Chicas Tacos just opened a new location in Culver City. Originally launched in DTLA in 2016, Chicas Tacos expands on their success with the recent opening of their Culver City location.
With a menu featuring tacos, burritos, bowls, salads, and drinks, the Mexican fast casual restaurant—home to “A Better Taco”—offers a number of vegan-friendly menu items.
Options are highlighted by a selection of plant-based tacos—Cauliflower & Mushroom, Jackfruit, and (our favorite!) the Impossible Taco, crowned Best Taco de Chef award at Taqueando Fest 2019. Try the Chicas Burrito, consisting of a flour tortilla, quinoa, black beans, kale & romaine, cherry tomato pico de gallo, plant-based avocado crema, and choice of protein, or forego the tortilla and order the Chicas Bowl. You’ll also find Plant Based Nachos, Impossible Nachos, and sides such as black beans, chips and salsa, and a house-made plant-based queso that is to die for (crafted with a base of sweet potatoes, yams, and carrots). Accompany your order with Aguas Frescas, available in Coconut Cream Horchata (we highly recommend), Cold Brew Horchata, Cucumber Lime Mint, and Watermelon Cinnamon.
The restaurant’s future plans include opening spots in Beverly Grove, Miracle Mile, and more.
Chicas Tacos Culver City is located at 9345 Culver Blvd. Culver City, CA and is open from 10:30am–11pm daily.
UPDATE 2/2/2020: The burrito tortilla is NOT vegan, as it contains butter.
