Same team, new concept.
It’s hard to keep up with all of the vegan restaurants opening and closing around town. Which is why we’re here to help! Most recently, a vegan chicken tender restaurant, Mother Plucker, opened in the former Honeybee Burger space.
Honeybee Burger Is Now Closed
We know what you’re thinking, “What? Honeybee Burger is now closed?” We promise, this news is still great for the vegan community. Over the years, the upbeat vegan fast-food restaurant has moved around, finally landing in Mid-City and Venice. Most recently, the Honeybee Burger team launched a spinoff vegan breakfast ghost kitchen, All Day Vegan Cafe.
Well, one thing led to another and soon enough Honeybee Burger’s owner Adam Weiss was in talks with vegan NBA star John Salley and Mr. Charlie’s co-founder Taylor McKinnon. The topic? Opening a vegan chicken shop, Mother Plucker.

New Vegan Chicken Shop in Los Angeles
Essentially, Honeybee Burger closed and reopened as Mother Plucker. The staff is the same, and the food is still all-vegan. The only difference is the concept and business partners. The new vegan chicken shop boasts bright blue and yellow branding throughout, achieved with the help of McKinnon and his team, known for their stellar branding at Mr. Charlie’s.
