The Dolly Llama Partners With Craig’s Vegan Ice Cream to Launch Vegan Options

The Dolly Llama—a Los Angeles-based novelty frozen dessert concept known for its Hong Kong-style puffy waffle cones—just announced its first vegan menu items. The company’s partnership with Craig’s Vegan Ice Cream made this move possible. Craig’s Vegan is a cashew-based ice cream company that specializes in both wholesale and grocery pints. The Dolly Llama will sell Craig’s Vegan pints and also offer four of its flavors for custom-made, vegan-friendly desserts in-store.

The Dolly Llama has yet to offer a vegan-friendly waffle cone to accompany this new option, but customers can order vegan scoops and shakes made with Craig’s Vegan ice cream in addition to an assortment of plant-based sauces and toppings—from peanut butter to maple syrup and sprinkles to speculoos cookie crumbs. Vegan flavors include Sunset & Strawberry, Killa’ Vanilla, Melrose Mint Chip, and Kursten’s PB Krunch.

The Dolly Llama cofounder, Eric Shomof, stated, “The Dolly Llama was created to provide customers from all walks of life with an authentic, unique, and enjoyable dessert experience. We knew that in order to be truly inclusive, especially as a Los Angeles-based brand, we wanted to offer a selection of vegan dessert options to be accommodating towards all dietary preferences. We are thrilled to have found a like-minded partner in Craig’s, which offers vegan products that deliver the quality and taste that The Dolly Llama is known for.”

Craig’s Vegan ice cream is now available at all three The Dolly Llama locations—DTLA, Koreatown, and Sherman Oaks—for both takeout and delivery.
