4th Street Market, a constantly evolving food hall in Santa Ana, is welcoming back its loyal patrons starting Wednesday, June 3 for a soft re-opening. As home to 15 innovative eateries in addition to a bar and neighborhood market, the facility has allowed its tenants to offer curbside takeout during these past few months, but dine-in service had been suspended. On June 3, customers can once again enjoy their meals inside the industrial-meets-garden space, given certain social distancing practices such as wearing a mask indoors and allotting strangers the recommended six feet of space.
The market houses two completely vegan storefronts and several vegan-friendly spots as well. Both The Naughty Panda and La Vegana Mexicana are participating in this soft-opening celebration, with the latter offering a special green masa tamale stuffed with carrots, potatoes, and peas in a spicy tomato sauce (in ode to the area’s iconic parrots that fly wild throughout the city). Vegan choices are also available at Banh Xeo Boys (vegan Vietnamese savory crepes), Mar (vegan poke bowls), and Chunk n’ Chip (vegan ice cream).
Soft re-opening hours are 11am-9pm Thursday through Saturday and 11am-8pm Sunday. Hours are subject to change and individual vendor hours may vary from the food hall.
