Impossible Foods isn’t just the go-to for plant-based burgers anymore! San Diego-based vegan burger joint Veg’n Out is now serving Impossible chicken nuggets, the latest innovation from the Impossible Foods brand.

Vegan Chicken Nuggets in San Diego

Veg’n Out is one of San Diego County’s most beloved burger joints, serving up everything from Western BBQ burgers and juicy bratwursts on pretzel buns to (ridiculously) loaded fries and vegan hot wings. This past weekend, the spot became the first restaurant in San Diego to offer the newly-released Impossible nuggets. The Impossible chicken nuggets are made from textured soy and sunflower oil and coated in a light, crispy breading that is reminiscent of your favorite chicken nuggets growing up.

While supplies last at Veg’n Out, you can order a 10-piece that comes with two of Veg’n Out’s signature sauces (make sure at least one of those is their house-made buttermilk ranch!). If you’re feeling adventurous, try the Vegan Chicken Wars Platter, which comes with four of the Impossible nuggets, as well as two Beyond Meat chicken tenders, two Veg’n Out chicken wings, four Daring chicken nuggets, fries, carrots & celery, and four dipping sauces. Where to Find Impossible Nuggets in San Diego

While more restaurants are sure to follow suit, Veg’n Out is currently the only spot where you can find the Impossible nuggets in San Diego county. The restaurant is located in the food court of the Grossmont Center, an outdoor shopping mall in East County.

The Impossible nugget rollout is starting small, so the restaurant will have a limited supply of the nuggets for now. They’re currently serving the nuggets as a special, so make sure you call ahead to see if they’re available. Give the restaurant a follow on Instagram at @vegnoutsd for all updates on the new plant-based chicken nuggets.
