This sports performance brand is making strides toward a more eco-friendly future—and that includes plant-based sneakers!
This spring, Reebok will launch a sustainable footwear line that features two sneakers—the Nano X1 Vegan and the Floatride Energy GROW. The shoes are a part of the brand’s sustainability initiative and are made from materials like eucalyptus bark, castor bean oil, bloom algae, natural rubber, and recycled polyester.
The Nano X1 Vegan shoes will be available for purchase on May 1 and will retail at $150 (members of Reebok’s UNLOCKED program will be able to order on April 19). The sneakers come in both men’s and women’s sizes and feature a comfortable and durable upper that’s designed with a plant-based version of Flexweave knit, as well as Floatride Energy Foam made with castor bean for flexible cushioning. The Floatride Energy GROW sneakers will be available to purchase on April 15 and will retail for $120 a pair. They are also available in men’s and women’s styles and are made with a eucalyptus-based upper, a castor bean midsole, and a flared heel to reduce Achilles pressure for the ultimate comfort.
Reebok plans to continue creating eco-friendly footwear and clothing through their [REE]GROW and [REE]CYCLED initiatives.
