Continuing this weekend’s Washington, D.C. plant-based takeover, Planta is set to open their first of several locations in the area this summer.

It may be chilly outside, but things are heating up for Planta and Chase Hospitality Group. The chain of restaurants, based out of Toronto, Miami, and most recently, West Palm Beach, is taking on a new region as plans are solidified to move into the nation’s capital. President and CEO of Chase Hospitality Group, Steven Salm, is no stranger to the area—having attended George Washington University—and sees the potential in the city for further expansion.

With plant-based mastermind Chef David Lee at the helm, the new location will feature locally inspired menu options. Being in Maryland, a hearts of palm crab cake will be a highlight on the menu alongside classic Planta signatures including pizzas, eggplant lasagna, and cauliflower tots. Planta will be the first full-service restaurant in Bethesda Row when it opens.

The site is due to open early this summer. Follow along for more information at plantarestaurants.com.
