In 2016, Plant Power Fast Food shook the vegan food scene by opening a 100% vegan drive-thru fast food restaurant in San Diego. This eco-friendly food joint made waves in the vegan community, which resulted in their rapid expansion! After opening a location in Encinitas, Plant Power made its way to the vegan mecca of California––Los Angeles! They opened locations in Redlands and Long Beach, but their delicious eats were still out of reach for those living in Central LA.
Plant Power Fast Food continues performing vegan Manifest Destiny with the launch of their new Food Truck! By branching out to a food truck, Plant Power can explore different LA neighborhoods, participate in vegan events, and bring their mouthwatering food to the masses! They might also be able to scout out the best areas for more brick and mortar locations!
While the truck appears retro with the 70’s van wave across the side, we can assure you that the food is futuristically game-changing! After all, their saying is, “The future of fast food is here!” Enough about the appearance of the truck, let’s talk about what’s inside! By the grace of all things vegan, Plant Power was able to fit a soft-serve machine on their truck. This means they can offer their homemade plant-based soft serve and Old Fashioned Milkshakes! What else will they have? The Iconic Burger, Big Zac, “Chicken” Nuggets, Fries, New York Style “Cheesecake,” and more!
Now that we’ve caught your attention, here are the deets! Plant Power’s first vegan event is this Sunday at Vegan Exchange from 11am-5pm. If you can’t wait until then, find the truck at pop-ups over the next couple of days! Tonight they’ll be outside of Donut Friend in Highland Park from 5-9pm, tomorrow they’ll be at Besties Vegan Paradise from 5-9pm, and Saturday they’ll be in front of Erewhon Venice from noon-6pm.
Check their Instagram, Twitter, and website for more information on where to track down this food truck to get your hands on the Big Zac burger!
