Plant Power Fast Food co-founder Zach Vouga was just named to Forbes’ annual “30 Under 30” list.
Selecting this year’s annual list of business and industry figures from over 15,000 nominees, the media outlet recognized Vouga in the Food & Drink category, particularly noting his mission "trying to create the vegan McDonald’s.”
As a vegan, California-based fast food chain, Plant Power Fast Food serves plant-based versions of classic American fast food options, with a menu consisting of items like chicken nuggets, milkshakes, and burgers such as their popular big Zac—a vegan take on McDonald’s Big Mac, named after Vouga.
First opened in 2016, in San Diego, California and funded by over $6 million, Plant Power Fast Food has since grown to five locations and a mobile food truck, located throughout California, which will see revenues of about $10 million combined. Vouga plans to open three more locations by mid-2020, projecting revenues of $15.8 million next year.
