Peapod Shuts Down Grocery Delivery in the Midwest
Peapod, a grocery delivery company that has serviced Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin has shut down their Midwest division. The Chicago-based company started in 1989 but recently faced challenges due to the rise of e-commerce competitors. They officially stopped taking orders on February 18th from all Midwest customers. Peapod will continue to serve the East Coast, where they plan to focus on pick-up and delivery options with a network of current grocery partners.
